Stay at home to stop Coronavirus spreading

You can only leave your home:

  • to shop for basic essentials – only when you really need to
  • to do one form of exercise a day – such as a run, walk or cycle, alone or with other people you live with
  • for any medical need – for example, to visit a pharmacy or deliver essential supplies to a vulnerable person
  • to travel to and from work – but only where this is absolutely necessary
Important information: if you have to go outside to do essential tasks or to exercise, stay at least two meters (3 steps) away from other people and wash your hands as soon as you get home.

If you're at high risk of getting seriously ill with Coronavirus please visit the NHS website for specific advice.

Do not leave home if you or someone you live with has either:

  • A high temperature
  • A new, continuous cough

Instead visit the NHS website for self-isolation advice.
