#Movingis campaign launches to help people in the BOB area to become more active - 13 May
Building on from last years’ successful #MovingCan campaign, #MovingIs, is a social media campaign, run by Get Berkshire Active , which aims to help people across Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, overcome the most common barriers to becoming more active.
There will be seven days of co-ordinated social media posts, where people can talk about barriers to keeping physically fit and provide suggestions for overcoming them.
“#MovingIs is easy to fit into our busy lives. Standing up more, taking the stairs and walking a bit more throughout the day helps. Why not try the One You Active 10 app, which helps get just 10 minutes of brisk walking into your everyday routine?“ Says Brett Nicholls, CEO, Get Berkshire Active.
Katie Summers Operations Director Berkshire West CCG and Joint Prevention Lead for BOB STP commented: “We are delighted to support the #MovingIs campaign as it provides everyone who lives and works in the BOB STP area with easy actions they can take to make positive lifestyle changes and overcome barriers to keeping fit.
“This campaign is a great example of NHS and local authority organisations working in partnership with the voluntary sector, to help people improve their health and well-being”.
